加拿大高校课程国际化工作坊的运行及启示    ——以汤普森河大学为例

国际化是影响和塑造21世纪高等教育的重要力量之 一。顺应高等教育国际化发展的时代潮流和学校深入开展国 际教育的要求, 加拿大汤普森河大学开设了课程国际化工作 坊。该工作坊帮助学生进行跨文化学习交流,帮助教师顺利开 展跨文化课程教学,提升了教师的跨文化意识,促进了教师自 我发展、教学发展和专业发展。在建设世界一流大学、培养具 有国际视野和竞争力人才的背景下,我国高校应该重视课程国 际化,设立相关工作坊,提高教师跨文化教育能力,从而有效 推进国际化办学进程。

The Implementation of International Workshops on Canadian University Courses and its Inspiration

Abstract:
Internationalization is one of the important forces influencing and shaping the higher education in the 21st century. In accordance with the trend of the international development of higher education and its requirement, Thompson Rivers University has offered international workshops on courses to help students in cross-cultural learning, help teachers to carry out cross-cultural teaching. The workshops improve teachers' intercultural consciousness, and promote the development of teachers in terms of self-development, teaching development and professional development. In the context of building a world-class university and cultivating talents with an international vision and competitiveness, colleges and universities in China should also pay a closer attention to internationalization of curriculum andfollow the trend to set up similar workshops, thereby improving teachers’ cross-cultural teaching abilities and effectively promoting international education.
